Kathy joins our team to assist all the practitioners here at AZSDS in corrective exercise and basic nutritional counseling. Her passion for exercise and wellness began as a high school and collegiate track and field athlete as well as through coaching. Kathy completed her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training and Coaching and within a year followed up with her Masters of Science in Education as an Exercise Physiologist. Upon completion of her degrees, Kathy continued to further her education and obtained certifications as a licensed Athletic Trainer, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) as well as an Exercise Physiologist through the ACSM.
Since college, Kathy has worked many years personal training a variety of clientele. Clients of all ages (11-92 years old) including able-bodied to those with handicap, weight loss to competitive bodybuilders, stroke and organ transplant patients, as well as scholastic and professional athletes. And meanwhile, Kathy found the time to start her career as an Adjunct Faculty in Exercise Science part time and still today teaches at several colleges in the Phoenix Metro area.
